<![CDATA[Expedicion Glaciar Erasmo Patagonia]]>

<![CDATA[A Man Among Orcas]]>
Enduring raging winds and icy waters with minimal protection, he enters the intimacy of elephant seals and orcas using clever ethological analyses and gets them used to his presence. Then comes the extraordinary: meet a man who communicates with penguins with body language, calms young seals and turns them into live pillows, lies underwater with 8 ton orcas or mature male seals...

<![CDATA[Cabo de Hornos | National Geographic]]>
Cape Horn and the surrounding Magallanes region in Chile are home to a wild ocean ecosystem that includes abundant marine mammals and seabirds, and the world's southernmost kelp forests. In February of 2017, in collaboration with the Waitt Foundation, National Geographic's Pristine Seas team traveled aboard the Plan B research vessel from Punta Arenas through the Francisco Coloane Marine Park, the Magallanes fjords, Cape Horn, and the Diego Ramírez Islands, studying and filming the region's marine environment. To achieve a comprehensive survey, the team made scuba dives, used remote underwater video and open-water cameras, and deployed deep-sea drop cams to depths of over 105 meters. The resulting expedition film will be premiered on September 5th, 2017 at the 4th International Marine Protected Areas Congress (IMPAC4) in Coquimbo, Chile. <![CDATA[Rio Bio Bio - 1985 - 1996]]>
Early photos and video of my time kayaking, rafting and leading trips on the Rio Bio Bio in Chile. Included are photos from my first trip in 1985 and video from later years until dam construction in 1995. At one time, the Bio Bio was worlds most famous expedition rafting destination. Now, most of it most famous rapids and canyons lay underneath hundreds of feet of water due to 2 dams. Photos and video includes myself, Billy "Superstar" Richards, Payson Kennedy, Chris Spelius, Mike Hipsher, Kent Ford, Eric Nies, KB Medford, Ciro Pena, Robert Dye, Tom Blue, Shane Benedict, Bob Beazley, Taz Riggs, Kelly Fischer, Bob Powell and I'm sure there are a few others featured. Big thanks to Ciro for use of his photos.
It's sad to see a river of such significance lost.
