The documentary 'Love Flows' captures the stories of the events from World Fish Migration Day 2018 through the narration of Joshua Royte, a conservation scientist for The Nature Conservancy. This documentary aims to give these fish and the rivers they depend on a voice by showcasing the celebrations, knowledge, and great visions we have for our rivers. The documentary is directed by award winning director Francisco Campos-Lopez. We hope this movie inspires even more people to take part in the next World Fish Migration Day on May 16, 2020. Background Once upon a time, massive fish migrations were observed every year around the globe. Civilizations and wildlife revolved around these natural wonders and depended on them for survival. For millennia, we have relied on rivers as a source of food, recreation and energy. Unfortunately, many of these natural, free-flowing rivers have deteriorated as generations pass. 'Love Flows' brings to life the challenges that voiceless rivers and fishes face against threats but more importantly, what we are doing to help improve the situation. It captures the growing passion of thousands of people from across the globe that join together to celebrate their love and work for rivers and fishes. One of the biggest threats to healthy rivers are dams. Dams block the flow of rivers, the passage of fish, and interrupt the health and ecology of our freshwater systems. El objetivo de este proyecto, "E-bike Patagonia 2019", fue recorrer las distintas locaciones que hay en esta linda ruta conocida como la "Carretera Austral", rescatando y potenciando los atractivos turisticos mas fuertes de cada zona que visitamos. Compartiendo y conociendo a increibles personas en este increible rincon del mundo: Patagonia. Viajamos por mas de 1,500 kms en total con dos bicicletas electricas las cuales nos dieron la posibilidad de explorar y conocer senderos de alto nivel en Patagonia. La tierra que arde (Argentina - 2018) 62min - Director: Pablo Perez Fiedler En el verano del 2015 más de 50.000 hectáreas de los bosques andino patagónicos se vieron arrasadas por el poder del fuego. Este fenómeno viene repitiendose hace años, fundamentalmente en los departamentos de Lago Puelo, Cholila y Parque Nacional Los Alerces. Gran parte de estas zonas comprenden territorios protegidos por la ley de bosques, con especies de árboles nativos de más de 1000 años de antigüedad. Si bien la falta de lluvias fue determinante, residentes del lugar insisten en que estos incendios no correspondieron al ciclo natural de los bosques, sino que detrás de estos estuvo la intervención del hombre. ¿Qué sospechas hay detrás de esta verdadera catástrofe medioambiental? A través de diferentes personajes, la película se enfoca en los distintos puntos de vista que hay sobre la destrucción de los bosques y en cómo se vieron afectados los distintos pobladores de la zona.

Sinopsis de la serie: Allen es una localidad de Rio Negro, con una economía centenaria ligada a la fruticultura, es el mayor exportador de peras del país. En 2013 empiezan a hacer fracking en la zona, los vecinos se oponen generando una ordenanza anti-fracking, que es derogada a los tres meses por el superior tribunal de justicia de Rio Negro. Desde ese momento se instalan mas de 160 pozos en la zona de chacras, generando contaminación del agua, el aire y la tierra. El fin de un modelo de desarrollo sustentable por un modelo extractivista destructivo para el medio ambiente y la salud de la población. El Rio Negro se transforma en una zona de sacrificio. La conciencia y la organización colectiva es la única forma de revertir este destino.

What happens when a mysterious, beautiful ocean animal is found alive, but beached?

The Creature in our film is an animal no one has ever seen before. Did you know that 95% of our oceans are unexplored? Both Mars and the Moon are better mapped than the ocean floor.

Incredible things are living in the deep, from remarkable animals to unique bacteria that could be the source of life-saving new antibiotics.

But with plastic pollution and climate change, we could be destroying sea life life faster than we’re able to discover it.

We made the Creature to wake people up. To shock, move and inspire them to join our movement for ocean protection, #GenerationSea.

Se estima que en el mundo quedan 2.000 huemules, lo que equivale a menos del 1% de su población original. En Isla Riesco existe una población muy poco conocida de esta especie que, gracias a la creación del Parque Nacional Kawésqar, se transforma en una esperanza para la conservación de esta emblemática y amenazada especie. Fuimos en su búsqueda y así lo encontramos.

Queremos reservar definitivamente las aguas del río Puelo para devolver a sus habitantes y al ecosistema las aguas que durante mucho tiempo han estado a nombre de privados, queremos conservar un corredor biológico de categoría mundial y limitar el uso de este río solo a actividades que se relacionen con el desarrollo local del territorio para evitar que se destruya este maravilloso y único lugar.
