On November 7 and 8, the Aysén region will host "La Confluencia," the Patagonia company's first major fly fishing gathering in Chile. The event aims to unite fishermen, nature enthusiasts, and environmental organizations around a shared objective: celebrating the sport and commitment to protecting rivers.

 

During the event, participants can enjoy fishing workshops on the Simpson River and Atravesado and Ñirehuao lakes. There will also be family activities and a series of environmental talks with Ríos Protegidos, Pulso Austral, and CIEP.  The event will close with a community barbecue and local music.

 

To complement the on-site activities, the Patagonia store in Coyhaique will offer clothing and wader repairs as part of its commitment to sustainability.

 

"La Confluencia is more than a fly fishing event; it's a movement that celebrates the connections between sports, community, and activism. We want Coyhaique to be a meeting point where we can look together at the future of our rivers," says Benjamín Carvallo, Patagonia's Sports and Impact Manager.

La Confluencia has limited spots available for purchase on the Welcu platform. Stay tuned to Patagonia's social media channels for updates on ticket sales. Free activities will be part of the event and will be announced in the coming weeks.
